Overview
The living systems that support us can regenerate and evolve, and so can we.
We can’t keep going this way. We are destroying the very things that support our wellbeing—from the land, water, air, and the living beings who inhabit them, to our connectedness, creativity, and cultures. Beautiful solutions are aligned with the cycles of life, working with the natural world as it is, rather than fighting against it or trying to control it. They move slow enough that what we take from the earth can grow back, and fast enough that we can be around to teach each other how they work. They are flexible and attentive so that we can adapt as the world changes around us. Adaptation is not about trying to live the same way in a changed world, but rather about adjusting our understanding of what thriving looks like in the world as it is, while protecting the possibility of a world to come.
