Meet Us In The Streets in Two Weeks!

Greetings, Beautiful Troublemakers,

August is here, the international End Fossil Fuels March is gearing up, and the fascists at the wheels of capitalism are unrelenting in the face of the fires of a climate crisis brought to us by oil companies, banks, and politicians profiting from it all. The discipline of hope is imperative as we organize all the beautiful trouble possible to meet the moment.

On September 15th and 17th, climate warriors, internationally will be gathering to demand an end to the fires of the climate crisis and a beginning for a sustainable future. Go to https://fightfossilfuels.net/ to learn how to endorse the gathering and bring your coalition into the upcoming global day of action.

People vs Fossil Fuels has asked five amazing movement artists to produce artwork that they then printed thousands of as large, fold-out, full-color poster art newspapers demanding “END FOSSIL FUELS.” These posters are a resource to support groups and people taking action in September and those who can't attend the march but still wish to help amplify our demands in their communities. They are aiming to get 40,000 of them out across North America. HUGE shout out to Tejal Mankad and David Solnit for putting this all together! ✨

Are you an educator wanting to start beautiful trouble in the classroom?

Instead of a brainstorming session, encourage your students to start CARDSTORMING over one of the many issues facing their future. “Flashcard” through social movement history or engage students in dynamic debates to decide how they will fight for a new future. Use code BACKTOSCHOOL until September 8th for $5 off a single deck purchase. Bulk discounts are available—email contact@tesacollective.com with “Beautiful Trouble - Wholesale” in the Subject.

The Beautiful Trouble team offered a workshop and supported arts and culture at the 22nd Century Initiative Conference July 6-9: What do bananas, clowns + cornstarch teach us about fighting fascists?

Finally, a two-hour training session on Artivism to help participants develop their artwork towards social change for the Far South/Border North program of Catalyst in San Diego, CA, was presented by the powerful duo Nadine and Dragonfly, inspiring all attendees to imagine all the possibilities of beautiful trouble to challenge power.

Witnessed Beautiful Trouble

Pussy Riot launches Eco Warrior Barbie into our imaginations, and we cannot stop laughing, watching, and sharing.

We were thrilled to see Media Jacking of the Trump indictment circus in Atlanta, Georgia, this month by the dedicated activists in the Stop Cop City movement.

Finally, our minds and hearts are on the devastating wildfires across the globe—from Hawaii and the Canadian Northwest Territories to the Canary Islands and Kazakhstan.

In solidarity and hope,

Priscilla and the team of Beautiful Trouble
