Coming in at about 350 pages with chapters written by more than 70 contributors, Beautiful Solutions features stories from Argentina to Zimbabwe about topics from folk schools to energy democracy. Created by our movements for our movements, this book was designed to be a resource for your classrooms, your communities, and anyone working towards a more beautiful, liberated world.
As a counter to the devastation of this time, Beautiful Solutions brings hope for the future grounded in real-world examples of communities organizing to solve big problems together.

We kicked off our book launch with events in Tennessee, first at the Highlander Research and Education Center, and then in Knoxville at the church of our late co-editor and beloved Elandria Williams. These gatherings were filled with E’s family, friends, and comrades, making them the perfect way to honor E’s memory and introduce this book to the world. We sold out of every copy we brought to Tennessee, then again in Chicago for the US Federation of Worker Cooperatives conference, and at the 2024 Cooperative IMPACT Conference in Washington, DC.
Now that the book is here, we’re focused on supporting educators and organizers to put it to use. We’re excited to help people dive into the stories and tools through book clubs, develop facilitator guides and curriculum, host more in-person and online events, work on translating the book into other languages, and so much more!
