The first BT TN HangOut, Live!, feat. the (sur)real Black Body Survival Guide took place Wed Aug 5th at 5 pm PT// 8pm EST.

This launched a BTTN LIVE! series showcasing the latest and greatest in creative action news from around the globe; & offer a platform for BT Trainers and allies to share current work and relay network info.

For our inaugural call, we were joined by Terry Marshall of Intelligent Mischief – a co-conspirator behind the (sur)real Black Body Survival Guide in the 21st century.

The Black Body Survival Guide is a multi-media compilation of satirical tips, tricks, and tools created in response to the current moment in the history of violence against black people. It is a survival book, survival tools, performance art, a survival online tv show and social media campaign carefully co-created in consultation with black people of all backgrounds.

Intelligent Mischief is a group of Afro-Caribbean sci-fi, afro-futurist, comedians, arts, dance and theater nerds running a civic engagement hack lab based in Boston. They use culture, social media, and technology to explore social justice issues and campaigns in creative and thought-provoking ways.
