Hello Troublemakers!

Since we launched Beautiful Trouble, we’ve been telling people that the book is a training program just waiting to happen.

The grassroots organizers, artists and strategists who wrote Beautiful Trouble are now available to come to your campus or community for a hands-on training. The Beautiful Trouble Trainer Corps offers skills trainings in the tools, tactics and principles of effective creative action.

Last month we held our first Beautiful Trouble trainings in Boston. We partnered with Boston community social justice organizations and climate activists on two creative direct action trainings. Over 60 folks showed up, we had simultaneous translation into Spanish and Cantonese, and Laurence Louie of the Chinese Progressive Association had this to say about the training:

“The Beautiful Trouble training laid out all the elements that go into effective creative actions, and maybe even more importantly: how they can fit into a larger campaign strategy.”

We’re excited to lead more workshops like this across the country.

Find out more about our training offerings here.

To inquire about presentations, custom-designed workshops, multiple-day trainings, and longer-term strategic partnerships, email us at training@beautifultrouble.org.

Yours in Beautiful Trouble,

Andrew Boyd, J.M. Smucker and the whole Beautiful Trouble Trainer Corps

P.S. If you know of a group that could benefit from one of our trainings, please forward this along. Thanks!
